What is RMBG?

The Risk Management Business Game is a simulation that allows you to test the participants’ ability to identify and manage the risks that may arise during the organization of a project.

The goal is to simulate a real planning and development situation. During the simulation, players must be able to analyze and solve problems through an accurate analysis and management of risks.

Why choose RMBG?

Among the primary goals of this simulation, one of the most appreciated aspects is team building. Indeed, cohesion, the ability to work in a team and the development of soft skills are milestones for the success of a project.

In addition, participants can bring into play their problem solving skills in identifying the right response to risks and in deciding how to act whether an unexpected event occurs during the game. The ability to rationally and promptly analyze them represents a great skill to develop for a Project Manager.

SIMULATION PHASES

h

1.PLANNING

The planning of the project starts with a preliminary analysis of the problem. Then, it proceeds with the selection of roles to be assigned to team members and an initial identification of possible risks associated with the planning.

2.CONSTRUCTION

In this phase, participants are required to put in place a system for managing unforeseen events over different time frames, assessing their consequences and making decisions on the basis of the analysis carried out.

3.REPLANNING

The construction phase is composed of re-planning moments. In case necessary modifications come up, they are useful to review the initial plan, in order to complete the plan in time. The game then continues

4.FINAL EVALUATION

Once the time is up, teams are required to present the final result of their work and, accordingly, they will be evaluated. Each team has the opportunity to discuss the problems faced during the simulation and re-evaluate the decisions they made.

FAQ

To whom is this service addressed?

The simulation is addressed to companies and university students, both for training and recruiting purposes.

What is the maximum/minimum number of participants in the simulation?

The minimum number of participants is 3, which corresponds to the components of a team. In fact, it is possible to carry out the simulation even if there is only one team. The competing teams will be simulated using historical data.

The maximum number is 30, which corresponds to about 10 teams.

What knowledge must participants have beforehand?

Participants should know the basic tools of Project Management (Gantt Chart, Work Breakdown Structure).

Together with the simulation it is possible to request a Project Management training course at a reduced price, held by a qualified engineer in this subject.
